December 9, 2019Articles

The hackathon we hosted with DTF ended on November 17, and we’re still sorting through the submissions. We’ll announce the winners in Development nomination later (because we need some time to play the prototypes), and today we announce the winners of the Art nomination.

All projects were reviewed by experts, which included:

  • Vyacheslav Taraskin, Head of BD EMEA Unity
  • Arseniy Alikhanov, Analytical Consultant Google
  • Dmitry Shelengovskiy, CEO of Playgendary
  • Nikita Guk, Chief Brand Officer Playgendary
  • Alexander Danilov, Art Director Playgendary
  • Julia Zasekina, Head UA Creative Playgendary
  • Oleg Chimde, Deputy Chief Editor DTF
  • Timur Safarov, Editor DTF

The assignments for the artists was to create a setting for a game and make five illustrations.

  1. The main character;
  2. The antagonist;
  3. The hard-to-kill character;
  4. Start location;
  5. Start location after a cataclysm, war, weather catastrophe, or any other disaster.

We looked at more than 150 amazing works of art, and chose the two winners, depicting symbiotes and childhood dreams.

The winners:

  • Placed 2nd. Phagocitosis, a project with breathtaking lore and universe.
  • Placed 1st. Memory Home, a succumbing world of childhood fears and dreams.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the participants!
